Good news for people that like to stand out from the crowd.
BMW AG created a very limited edition of BMW i3 named Shadow Sport.
The brand-new vehicle has fluid-black exterior, sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch alloy wheels, grey interior with blue highlights, moonroof and probably everything that indigenous driver would like to have –in case you’ll buy the vehicle you’ll be presented even special limited-edition badge.
Price, however, isn’t cheap at all – unbelievable $47,000.
Nonetheless, uniqueness is a thing that must be paid for – only 50 models of Shadow Sport edition were produced-, so the price tag is completely justified.
Dave Buchko said that all 50 Shadow Sports models have been sold, with the first 40 selling out in the first hour or so of availability.
Is there anything else we can tell you about the vehicle?
Well, the vehicle doesn’t come with a gas-powered range extender – you know how rigorous are emission standards nowadays –and totally relies on the 125-kilowatt (170-horsepower) electric motor and 22-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack.
Therefore, specifications are absolutely identical with the standard version of BMW i3: the same single-charge range of 81 miles (130 kilometers), the same 0-60 miles (100 kilometers) per hour acceleration time of seven seconds flat and the same top speed of 93 miles per hour (150 kilometers per hour).
And if you really want to stand out anyhow, contact 3D Design studio in Japan or Turner Motorsport.
They will transform your car into the piece of art.
Of course, it won’t be cheap, but vehicles that were catching people’s eyes have never been cheap, isn't it?
Through the first 10 months of the year, BMW sold 8,879 i3 vehicles, which was double year-earlier figures. Last month alone, though, things weren't as rosy, as October i3 sales declined 15 percent from a year earlier to 986 units.
