Kia is preparing an outdoor concept based on one of its most popular models KIA Soul EV for the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
Right now we can get our look only at the teaser with front third of the e-AWD concept, so it's too early to say something about the car,but more likely it'll have a rough look and will be kind of tumble version of its popular Soul compact.
The teaser shows off black body cladding around the lower air dam and wheel wells. The headlights also appear blacked-out with white trim around them for contrast, and the orange highlights in the wheels provide some visual pop.
"The off-roader was conceived by Kia's California design studio and built for city dwellers seeking the ultimate urban escape. Intended to enable a wide array of outdoor activities from skiing and snowboarding, to camping, hiking and mountain biking, this rugged runabout captures the essence of adventuring at higher elevations with the promise of surefootedness in the wild" - says Kia Motors America.
What Kia Motors will show to us?
To be frank, we don't know. We can share all the details with you only when the concept will be unveiled on Thursday, February 12, at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
But two things we know for sure: the brand-new vehicle will have indigenous look (Kia's California design studio have worked under this concept) and will get some extra oomph from an electric all-wheel drive system.
Is it all?
Alas, yes. We're also curious about a lot of things such as if Kia will do anything else for their Soul concept's design and how much power the electric all-wheel drive system adds, but they won't be answered until the 12th of the February,so, let just be happy with the fact that the Kia is finally entertaining the idea of an AWD Soul.
